Barry and Shae – In the Community

Foster A Dream

Barry and Shae have actively supported the Foster A Dream organization for the past six years. This charitable organization works to build a brighter future for Bay Area Foster children by providing support programs, mentoring services and financial assistance. Barry and Shae help support their annual Dream Gala, which is the organizations largest fundraising event. At the gala each year, Foster a Dream sponsors donate scholarship money to be awarded to deserving foster youth pursuing a college education. Because Barry and Shae feel strongly about providing children the opportunity to pursue a higher education they have committed to sponsoring a “Dare to Dream” Academic Scholarship each year. They also sponsor and participate in Foster a Dream’s Annual Holiday Toy Drive and Holiday Wonderland. The holiday festival expands each year to allow more children to experience the joys of the season. Bay Area foster youth have the opportunity to visit the Holiday Wonderland and take photos, stuff their own stocking and pick a gift from the toyshop.
